A full-stack spiritual platform connecting devotees with temples in Uttarkashi, India, and Dolpa, Nepal.
The problem
Devotees need one reliable place for sacred texts, prayers and events, and practical guidance for reaching temples in two remote locations in different countries.
What I built
- Built a full-stack spiritual platform connecting devotees with temples.
- Developed a content management system for sacred texts, prayers and events.
- Implemented location-based pilgrimage guidance.
- Delivered a responsive user interface.
- Developed backend functionality using Bun.js / Express.js and MySQL.
Technical decisions
Content as a managed system
Sacred texts, prayers and events are handled through a content management system, so they can be maintained as data.
Location as a feature
Pilgrimage guidance is built around the two temple locations rather than treated as static information.
Engineering considerations
- Presenting sacred content with an interface that respects its character.
- Keeping the interface usable across screen sizes.
